The cleaning and lubrication of the PEUGEOT 208 (2019-2023 models) electronic fan should follow the following steps:

1. Cleaning process

Ensure the vehicle is turned off and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid the risk of short circuit.

Use compressed air or a soft bristled brush to remove dust from the fan blades and motor casing, and avoid using high-pressure water guns for flushing.

If the oil pollution is severe, neutral cleaning agents (such as diluted detergent) can be sprayed onto non-woven fabric to wipe the fan blades, avoiding the motor and wiring harness interface.

2. Lubrication maintenance

Use high-temperature motor specific lubricating oil (such as silicon-based grease), and prohibit the use of edible oil or ordinary engine oil.

Find the oil injection hole for the motor bearing (usually located at the end of the motor shaft) and add 1-2 drops of lubricating oil.

Manually rotate the fan blades to evenly distribute the oil and avoid excessive spread of oil stains.

3. Precautions

Do not disassemble: It is not recommended to disassemble the electronic fan assembly for non professional maintenance to avoid damaging the sealing structure or circuit.

Drying test: After cleaning, it needs to be completely dried before powering on to prevent short circuits.

Periodic recommendation: Check the lubrication status every 2 years or after driving 40000 kilometers.
